Network Review
Solutions applied in the ICT field for major Provider and Italian Carrier.
Retis is the repository of knowledge of a study method adopted by major Customers, called the Network Review.
Through the Network Review, Retis is able to:
- Produce a pattern that shows an updated and detailed overview of the architecture of the existing network, using for this task both a review and updating of existing documentation and a physical identification of network resources (servers, concentrators, lines of communication) and the distribution of users related to the organizational structure.
- Indicate the actual services provided by the network to have a clear picture of developments in the traffic and operational requirements imposed on the network, relying in this stage on the contribution of the System Support Staff and other groups responsible for sets of similar applications.
- Highlight how the network is operating correctly; taking into account its physical limits, its critical areas of the operations and the level where it actually meets the needs of users.
- Identify the criticality in the operations of the network, with regard to its security, both in terms of failures, and in the access control.
- Examine the organization of System & Network Support, along with related procedures and maintenance tools.
- Formulate recommendations to management in order to improve operations management and network control, as well as propose areas for further investigation.
